Socked In - Tobacco Roots

I got the idea for this painting while a buddy and I were driving out to the Tobacco Root Mountains for a spring ski day. The mountains were completely socked in, but the rolling hills on the way into the mountains were glowing where the sun pocked out through the clouds.
